Elsevier's OncologySTAT.com Nabs 12,000 Health Professionals

Subscription-free oncology journals repository OncologySTAT.com reports 12,000 registered users at its recently launched site. This experiment from Elsevier put recent and otherwise expensive medical journal content online in a free, ad-supported model. The company reports that 70% of its registered users (registration is required) are physicians and that the site is getting one million page views.
