Building an online video audience within the business media community can be quite the challenge, but American Business Media has proven they're up for it. They are supporting the new Dragonfly and Tremor Media global video portal, where they will provide video production and assistance to the new Global Business Media-TV.

Dragonfly and Tremor Media are aiming to develop a central repository of valuable business video, including interviews with industry leaders, information about innovative products and processes, and a forum to share leading-edge ideas. The site essentially has three buckets: a video library, an advertising portal and a list of companies. It is an ad-supported site and net revenues on video content will be shared with all participant and it's free to join for all ABM members.

"This is a new genre of social media," ABM's CTO Joshua Kuvin told min today. Kuvin's 16-year broadcast journalism background has given him added insight into the online video world. "This new portal is a great collaboration for us. Not only is it monetized, but it will allow us to cut production costs as well."
