Campari House is on our Radar

We learned a lot last night at the Radar magazine party at House of Campari in Soho. For one, exhibiting art in a crowded space, as was the case in Defining the Moment: 25 New York Artists, renders that art more furniture than something to be contemplated.

We did glimpse through the stylish crowd to check out some art, which included an arresting photograph of a woman standing forlornly before a massive crane in a gravel pit. Our attention was quickly diverted back to the party at hand by young women in pillbox hats doling out luscious Campari cocktails. We gathered that the high lighting necessary for an art exhibition mixed with burlesque dancers at close range makes for an experience both fascinating and repellent. We gathered that both Radar and Interview magazine apparently have the same event planner since we recall the exact same combo of libations, art and flesh was staged last year, though when you're Campari House, you're always reeling in the cool fish.

And finally, we learned that Campari is not a cordial and has a much higher alcohol content than we previously assumed.
