Top 5 Ad Page Gains for October

For this week's top 5, we took at look at October's monthly magazine ad pages (100 or more) and found that fall definitely has more than one meaning. Many books were down, though not necessarily out. Flexing its ad page muscle is body-building magazine Flex (+12.18%), while Esquire cashed in nicely on its 75th anniversary issue (+11.53%). Elle  (+7.19%) continues its stellar year under publishing director (since March 2002) Carol Smith.

Number of pages alone do not tell the complete story. what would really enlighten is the change in the rates charged (cpm) to see what is happening to ad revenues. are they really up or down?
