The 3rd Annual Min Day Summit held last week at the Grand Hyatt in New York delivered stream-lined digital media content from the best in the publishing industry to the best in the publishing industry. Topics ranged from proper online video usage for your brand to revenue tips and advice for your mobile platform to aggregation websites, where Min's own digital media editor, Steve Smith noted that while aggregation sites are the the latest wave on the web, "the original content has to come from somewhere and it makes me feel good to look around at the people who are still creating the content." In another panel discussing building and maintaining online communities, Josh Jackson, Paste magazine E-I-C and one of min magazine's 21 most intriguing people in 2007, announced that Paste.com will be launching a social networking component to their site, complete with individual pages.

Other highlights from the day included keynote speeches from ESPN's Executive Vice President, Content John Skipper at the Sweet Sixteen Luncheon and co-founder and CEO of eMarketer Geoff Ramsey. Panelists covering the topic of the state of print and online newsrooms included 2008 Neal Award winner and E-I-C of PC World Harry McCracken along with VP, brand editor Bill Stump from Men's Health, "Luckily for us, health is a topic that is very conductive with multi-media. We still provide all the same quality content but are getting these young kids in here to to the video, etc. Rodale and Men's Health are stronger than ever."
